Inschool, Afterschool and Holiday Programs for your communities
In our community

Chickenshed NYC's Community Programs offer dynamic, enriching experiences that seamlessly integrate the performing arts with lived experiences and scientific exploration. Our unique, collaborative approach empowers students and participants to directly shape the theatrical pieces they create, fostering self-expression, creativity, and a tailored learning environment.
What sets Chickenshed apart is its inclusive approach, where the ideas and input from students and participants directly inform the outcome of the theatrical pieces they create. This collaborative process encourages self-expression, fosters creativity, and ensures the programs are tailored to the needs and interests of the community.
Whether you're looking to nurture artistic talents, support social development, or offer an inclusive and engaging space, Chickenshed NYC provides a diverse range of programs to meet the needs of young people at every stage. From Adventures from The Shed performances and our My Little Adventure workshop program for preschoolers, to creative residencies and performance-based workshops for older students, our offerings are designed to inspire, educate, and spark a lifelong love of the arts in your community.

Chickenshed is children's theatre at it's best! The set, the props, the songs and the acting. Best of all, the enjoyment on the children's faces as they watched was perfect.
What a perfect, age-appropriate, fun-filled morning with wonderful messages for young people. Our students loved the Adventure show, our teachers thought it was fabulous AND, the person who underwrote the performance just gave us the go-ahead to book 2 more!
Thank you so much for sharing Chickenshed and bringing so much joy and energy to us on a Monday morning. Every child should have the opportunity to experience a show; truly terrific.
