We are an inclusive theatre company that originated in the UK in 1974.

In 2018, we established ourselves in the New York, bringing the same ethos and mission: to enrich the lives of young people within the nurturing environment of an inclusive theatrical community. Our goal is to create engaging and high-quality theatre that celebrates diversity and inspires positive change. Guided by our motto, "when everyone is included, everyone flourishes," we believe that inclusive collaboration leads to creativity, growth, and lasting impact.

Dear Community

At Chickenshed NYC, we believe in the power of theatre to break down barriers, challenge perceptions, and celebrate the unique talents and perspectives of every individual. Through our inclusive approach, we strive to create a space where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to share their voice and tell their story.

It is my honor to serve as Chair of Chickenshed NYC. I am committed to expanding our reach, forging new partnerships, and exploring bold new artistic endeavors. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of you - our courageous young people, dedicated staff, enthusiastic volunteers, generous supporters, and loyal audience members. Your unwavering support and tireless efforts are the foundation upon which Chickenshed stands, and it is because of you that we can continue to thrive and grow.

While we have now celebrated our 5-year anniversary we have so much more to do. I invite you to join me in shaping the future of Chickenshed NYC. Whether you are a long-time supporter or new to our community, your involvement is vital to our success.
